Six Zone Duo is a national women's volleyball podcast, hosted by two award-winning journalists who have covered the sport for years: Amie Just and Erin Sorensen.
Amie Just is an award-winning columnist, features writer and enterprise journalist based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Since returning to her home state in 2022 to write for the Lincoln Journal Star, she has won 30 national sportswriting awards for her coverage of Nebraska Athletics — 12 of which have been for her coverage of Nebraska volleyball. In July 2026, Just was honored as the runner-up for the Billie Jean King Award for Excellence in Women’s Sports Coverage. She is both a graduate student and lecturer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
Erin Sorensen is an award-winning journalist, storyteller and content creator based in Omaha, Nebraska. She has spent more than a decade covering Nebraska athletics and telling sports stories across digital, print, audio and video. Sorensen also hosted Nebraska Public Media’s Title IX: 50 Years in the Making, a discussion featuring Jordan Larson, Carol Frost, Peaches James Keaton and Brenda VanLengen examining the history and impact of Title IX on women’s sports. The program won an Emmy in the Interview/Discussion Program category. She is the co-founder of Counter Read, a newsletter focused on thoughtful Nebraska sports storytelling, and a lecturer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
